So I seem to have forgotten one very vital bit of information on this blog, namely my starting statistics. Now, please understand that my shame over these numbers is near palpable. As there are pictures of my terrible shame involved, I will do you a courtesy and put this post under a cut.
Height: 6'4"
Age: 22 (23 as of 1/13)
Weight (as of 1/10/10): 304 lbs
BMI: 37
Body fat percentage: 33-38%
BMI has always been a little off for me, regardless of body fat, but in this case its relatively accurate. The problem is that I would have to hit roughly 200lbs to be within the normal range, but the likelihood of that is slim considering my build.
The reason for the range of body fat percentage is the difference between the YMCA and Navy standards for measuring body fat. I have used electronic means for measurements, but the results were enough of an outlier at 48.8% that I somewhat doubt the results. I have a lot of weight to lose, but to suggest that I, a heavy built guy from the ground up, has about 150 lbs of fat seems a little off to me.
I'll be visiting my physician later this week to nail down my exact body fat and remove all doubt, but for now, this is a good benchmark.
Thats about it, but should you need to see a visual representation of the data, look to the right for a photo of myself as I am as of 1-10-10. I'll post new pictures every week when I update these stats.
Here's to health!
