Why the Hell Hasnt He Posted?

Ok, so I admit, I sort of slacked off there for a few days. The long and short of it is that classes started this week and a few days were eaten up by settling my schedule. Now that its all said and done, its time to get back to the blog.

So, a few updates and a confession. First, the confession:

My birthday was back on Wednesday (the 13th) and on Tuesday, a good friend took me out for dinner. I got was I thought was a vegetarian friendly pasta dish, but I later found out that the sauce had meat in it. Whoops. It was a fairly minor slip up, but hey, this blog is all about full disclosure.

Now for the updates.



The muscle pain I mentioned in the last post lasted until Wednesday, and was pretty impressive. By which I mean debilitating. As a result, I missed my goal for crossfit this week. While I am disappointed in myself for this, its sort of to be expected. I'm not discouraged nor am I going to be giving up any time soon. Its just a predictable setback thats not going to stop me now. This weekend will consist of crossfit on Saturday and some cardio on Sunday, just for good measure. Expect specific updates when I do the work!

As far as weight goes, there will be another numbers update on sunday when the week is up. I have been measuring and recording my weight every morning when I wake up and evening when I go to bed to get a clear picture of weight change averages per day. This reduces the confounding variable of normal body weight fluctuation due to food, water, waste, etc. These numbers will then be averaged and compared to my starting weight.  Then, the last measure on Sunday becomes the new benchmark. To reach my goal, I have to lose roughly 1.5 lbs per week, which, in all honesty, is a pretty easy goal.

Things look good so far, and I am feeling awesome. This diet has provided me with more energy than I would have expected and I have yet to feel lethargic or tired like I used to. Crazy the effect that something small like eating right can have.

As far as food goes, I have more meals to share with you, but that will have to wait for another post.
